NyayaVault – Legal & Investigation Records Platform
NyayaVault ("Nyaya" means justice) is a platform for managing legal and investigation records. It brings a case's files, documents and evidence together under one case record, so investigators and legal teams can find, organise and review everything related to a case in one place instead of across paper files, shared drives and messages. It was built for the Smart India Hackathon problem statement SIH26190.
Problem Statement
Legal and investigation records are often spread across physical files, local folders, email and messaging apps. Documents go missing, evidence is hard to trace back to its case, and getting a complete picture of a case - or handing it over to another officer or lawyer - is slow and error-prone. Records this sensitive also need controlled access.
Proposed Solution
A single digital vault organised around cases. Every case holds its own files, documents and evidence records, so everything about a case is stored together, easy to retrieve, and available only to the people who should see it.
